BLOOD DOSE CORRELATION

Blood analysis confirmation quantification results can be correlated to the dose of drug taken when a patient is in steady state.* Patients taking a daily dose of a prescribed medication for the treatment of pain should, over time, reach a steady state blood concentration that reflects the ingested dose. To correlate the amount of drug a patient is taking with the amount that is in their system is to perform a blood dose correlation. When you provide the following patient information on a blood-test requisition, Cordant Laboratory Solutions™ uses a proprietary algorithm to determine if a patient is above, below, or within the reference range based on:

  • Medication of interest
  • Prescribed dose of medication
  • Accurate patient weight
  • Frequency of prescribed dose
