Addiction Services Double in Ohio
Addiction and treatment services are expected to double in Ohio prisons, as 80 percent of inmates have a history of drug abuse. Ohio recorded 680 heroin-overdose deaths in 2012, up 60 percent over the previous year. There is a proposal to put $58 million over two years toward community-based sentencing options.
