Coordinating Care to Prevent Drug Abuse: Cordant Expert Weighs In

A recent NEHI, the Network for Excellence in Health Innovation, policy call featured Dr. Richard Stripp, Cordant’s chief scientific and technical officer.

During the NEHI “On Call” series, Dr. Stripp spoke about how integrating prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) data with laboratory results enables better risk assessment. With the combined comprehensive information, clinicians can create testing protocols for patients according to their risk level.

The discussion, Coordinating Care to Prevent Drug Abuse and Addiction, took NEHI’s previous discussions on PDMPs one step further and delved into how innovative providers are integrating lab results, PDMP reports, medical histories and other relevant data to effectively coordinate care for high-risk patients.
